inspiration for p+i collage brief. my initial idea wasnt succesful, second idea a little too complex to carry out. i achieved a certain equilibrium between simple and complex with the collages i completed for printmakings screenprinting breif. it really appealed to me and sparked a new way of wanting to carry out collage.. which isn’t all that new a way at all really when i look back and consider earlier collage work.

this particular piece of collage really is an excellent example of the type of aesthetic i would like to aim for, both as part of a design solution to an answer to a brief that had come to acquire a few too many elements and be a little too time consuming to carry out at this point (see p+i layout pad for further reference…).

i really like the strong form and colour of the material used for the form of the child. the simple and not overly but still considered placement. and the swirling galaxy as ground definitely sits well with my own sought outcome and desired style.
